Parliament from the Marine House

I guess I have photographed the Hungarian Parliament building many times, but it seems to look different every time I see it.

We had gone to the Marine House (where the embassy's Marine Corps contingent lives) in the Castle district to see the fireworks for St. Stephen's Day, but it was so cold and windy that evening, we didn't stay for the display. It was the last fireworks show that could be viewed from the Marine House since the embassy is giving the building back to the Hungarian government next year.

excellent photograph....still, think they could tone down the lighting a bit, as it verges on the gaudy...such an extraordinary architectural gem would profit from a subtler touch..
