The schoolrooms

Gaudí designed these simple schoolrooms for children of the workmen and the neighborhood; they served as a teaching center for 70 years. The building's most distinctive feature, the roof undulations, allow water to pour out on either side in a practical and original way.

Oh, I love this! A very creative and beautiful architectural style and a wonderful
image. ~

How cool - they look like something the hobbits would have had for schools ! A pity the apartments in the background don't fit ! V

What an interesting roof. Gaudi certainly was a creative man. Great shot. V

Wished that my school had been such a nice one as these, but then I had probably more attention to the building then to the lessons.

Great image, that is a very impressive roof. v

I agree with Martin. The first thing I thought of was Tolkein. V

If it wasnt for the other buildings around, it seems to remind me of the Hobbit, I dont know why!

I adore this small building. And in contrast to the more modern boxes around it, Gaudi's genius is made even more apparent. VV

Must have made going to school fun. Lovely shot of this unusual school. V

Nice POV on this attractive and interesting design. It looks solid and stylish!
globalgadabout21-Aug-2013 15:50
the school does have charm, and contrasts notably with the planer buildings behind..
John Barreiro21-Aug-2013 15:42
The pediments over the windows are very unusual (but, after all, it is Gaudí). The POV allows us to see them at different angles. V
