Also known as the Crown of St. Stephen, this crown has been used at the coronation of at least 50 kings of Hungary since the 12th century. It was the crown worn by St. Stephen, the first king of Hungary, whose reign marked the beginning of Hungarian statehood (either December 1000 or January 1, 1001).
