Connemara (November 3, 2005)

North of Galway is Connemara, described in one of our tour books as a "Region of Stony Beauty" It was that indeed. The roads were narrow and twisty (an almost redundant description of Irish roads anywhere) and we got lost at least twice, but it was fun. The only downer was that the six room tour inside Kylemore Abbey was closed (renovations?)
