COMMON LOONS. Mother and two babies. This is the first of 12 shots following which chronicle the events of a two hour photo shoot of these Common Loons and Babies. I estimate the age of the babies to be no more than two or three days. In this shot, Mom watches me (and my pontoon boat) with some concern as I slowly and carefully approach. She is trying to keep her distance and beckons her young to her side. See next shot.
