Five images of a GBH with a BIG catch. This is the second posting of a three part SERIES - Will it, or will it not be able to swallow this fish in one piece as Herons are prone to do with their catches. For part one, click "PREVIOUS". For part three, click "NEXT".
Top Image: It next proceeded to pick up the large fish and slowly deposit it in a small clearing amid the shore-line reeds from which it could not escape - although it seemed pretty dead to me already.

As it lowers the fish, it is as if the fish is looking at the Heron begging for mercy.

Nice and easy does it. It appears that the fish is now looking my way, perhaps a final pose for the camera.

With the fish almost down, it appears to take on a resigned look as if accepting its fate.

A bit of a breather for the Heron after all the hard work. Perhaps building up some confidence for the work ahead.
