Two images of a GBH with a BIG catch. It caught the large Carp some distance from shore. It then strolled to the shore where it proceeded to kill the fish by repeatedly stabbing it, then putting it down only to repeat the process several times. In my view the fish was way too big for the Heron to swallow.
This is the first posting of a three part SERIES - Will it, or will it not be able to swallow this fish in one piece as Herons are prone to do with their catches.

As the Heron approached the large rock, it initially placed the fish on it and stabbed it a few more times. The large wound in the belly of the fish seems to be the initial wound, with the Heron's beak probably spearing right through the fish. It next proceeded to...… (See posting 2 of 3)
