Lahaina was my personal favorite place in all of Hawaii. I liked Lahaina immediately since my very first visit to Maui. I stayed in Lahaina proper a few times, later mainly close by in Ka`anapali.
We left Maui on 15th of July 2023. We had no idea what was to come just 3 weeks later... Over August 8–9, 2023 the town was obliterated by the dramatic fires. Lives were lost. People jumped into the Ocean to save themselves.

In one of the visit my wife was engaged with local chapter of the Toastmasters Society, proofreading their articles. She never found out if the lady with whom she was in contact has survived the fire storm: She lost the contact information.

Now that I have retired and have the time I decided to post here a series of galleries showing Lahaina and its lost historic treasures through the eyes of my personal visits to this Town.
