Hawaiian Hall has 3 levels. Before 2007 the exhibition was structured as follows: On the
bottom level was the Hawaiian Collection. The middle level was devoted to the heritage of arrivals,
most notably Japanese, Philipinos and Germans. The upper level was a bit gruesome: It documented
the controversial whaling period. Personally I could not watch how whales were dismembered alive...
