When I first got these Mooncandles, quite a while ago, I had trouble keeping them going. I guess I must have had some bad batteries. Anyway, now they're great! I love them. And the remote works well even from several feet away. The remote has all kinds of color options and so on. I've had no problem with the battery life anymore, and the timer feature is nice.
They each have an on/off switch, and I was wary of leaving the switches physically 'on' and just using the remote to turn the lights off or on, but so far that hasn't depleted the battery life like I thought it would. So these are a very economical, fun, and beautiful 'night light' ensemble.
I have two distillers. This one, labeled with the '2,' is the one I would usually use only for essential oils, but I decided to use it for just water this time, because I don't plan to drink this batch, anyway (though it would probably not hurt anything), and what I am getting is a very light, fine hydrosols (sort of) that will be great in the humidifiers.
My kitchen smells very nice while it's in progress, from the residual essential oils that were left in the canister.
EDIT ADDED LATER:
If the permeating aroma was cinnamon, I wouldn't mind, but it's mainly citronella. (I don't think the dog likes it too much, either.)
Summer is officially gone, and last night temps dipped down into the 30's, I guess, so I took in my geranium plant yesterday and placed it near a sunny window. Well, it's not a 'true' geranium, it's a pelargonium, I think....but whatever. I've had very good luck with those in the past so I'll see what this one does over the winter.
I'm running a couple small humidifiers already...I'm sure we'll need those this coming winter. I have tried to go without them before, but I end up with problems, can hardly breathe, and that goes for the dog, too -- he's fine if I run a humidifier.
No more coffee maker and no more hot pot, here. They both broke. So I'm back to making my coffee on the stovetop, which is just fine (the pour-over method).
Many chores today...always a lot to get done. Would like to get to some sewing but I don't know if that'll happen...yikes, it needs to...if I want to use my Christmas fabrics!
I think I'll set up my water distiller and get a nice pot of distilled water for my humidifiers, and a little for drinking (after fixing it up).
gave this one as a gift to someone
