Pens On Beaded Holder
A long time ago, I practiced some beading skills by making a few of those strings to hold glasses. As it turned out, I don't really like to use them for my glasses but they're great for pens. Especially pretty ones that I can keep in sight by hanging them up as bright decorations when I'm not using them.

I'm Too Old For Falling Off My Bicycle, But...
...I can still play my foot bass! With my concertina, of course. No crash landings or broken bones.
This spot in front of my chair has been working out well, for keeping the foot bass. I even dare to just rest my feet on the edge of it, when not playing, though I have a large yoga block (the purple thing) that works best for that.

hanging baskets from old records
Hmm. Kind of cute.
In January, when you're tired of shoveling snow, go melt your old vinyl.

Snow on the bird feeders
So what else is there, in January? Hmm?
Anyway, snowstorm. Enought that we did need to get plowed out.
Not really too bad, though...by Tuesday night it will have melted
down quite a bit, I think.
We're stuck in freezing temps until sometime Tuesday, but if Tuesday
is as predicted...well, then, I won't have to worry about the snow
of the roof...

The Cat's Shelter For Now
It's been snowing, raining all day, but temps have been at or above freezing, not too cold. So the cat refuses to stay inside the house -- he stays inside this rolled-up self-inflating mattress which is inside a huge trash bag and covered with a tarp and an old coat. There's a blanket inside. The entrance is on the right side.
It's actually turned out to be a great shelter -- has held up and worked throughout several seasons. The mattress is a special portable one for camping. I could never get it to deflate and compress enough to store it away after using it, so I just rolled it and stuffed it in a bag, and that's when I said 'Hey! Cat shelter!'
It's nice that it's easily re-invented, because he tires of it eventually and abandons it. (This was the former 'Camp Festus' -- see previous pic.)

The bright spot of this cold, cold morning!
And the coffee was very good.
