Hmm!
I like to make small 4-square blocks out of random pieces and have a lot stacked up. Just realized there's an easy way to make them into irregular hexagons that will probably go together well for crazy patch. Will try it.
Of course, then I'll lose a bit of the original blocks, but that's the way of crazy patch.

I like the taste of this! Olive leaf extract. I like most of the Herb Pharm formulas I've tried. I love that they have a nice shelf life.

I got this years ago and have only today decided to use it. I've thought it's a fairly useless gadget, up to now, but if nothing else it's a way to get to know all my wonderful colorful threads. And, side benefit, I'll have pre-wound bobbins all ready to use.
It's a bit quirky to use, not as stable as the sewing machine built-in winders, but hopefully winds bobbins that will spin well. We shall see...
I hung up my tapestry today, finally. It makes a nice focal point.
Bought on sale, clearance from a company that closed.

I don't remember any previous time when our road was repaved. So they don't do that very often! This event brought around a couple skateboarders to try out the new smooth ride, too.
Okay, so this isn't a GREAT pic, but...it'll have to do for a while! I am not at all photogenic and I avoid getting my picture taken but I am a little tired of having no profile pic, so...here you go.

Recycled thread spool makes a great stand for droppers
A ceramic lid/coaster for a coffee mug works well for catching any residue

Kaufman Essex Linen Blends...the eggplant and the leathered are yarn dyed, the carrot is "regular"
I also have some of this in a yarn dyed black (I think?) that I've intended to use to sew a kimono/robe. Need to get to that.
This is a beautiful fabric for what I'm doing with patches, and for sashiko stitches.

I hope I have more of the red flannel because it's a great border for this patch, which will be added to the crazy dress. (What's here is part of a different patch, underneath.)

These big bold stitches make me think of Sally in Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas"

When I was first doing any embroidery, when I was about...14(?)...I did a solid orange line all around the edge of a white tablecloth. It was rather plain... but I think I'd thought of it as the solid center line on a highway. So here's the broken line.
I don't know if this can be called sashiko really but it's my first use of my new sashiko needle, with DMC Perle cotton. I should do more of a contrast, I know... And try to be less crooked.

Makes soft but strong, slightly stretchy drawstrings or ties. Cut the fleece very thin, barely 1/4" wide.
