Dwarf Tree Frog, Drymomantis bicolor

Eastern Arnhem land, NT

These diminutive little frogs are often found sheltering in Pandanus palms, where the prickly leaves provide them protection from
many predators (not always successfully, see my spider gallery). These charming frogs seem to be declining in numbers in areas
where Cane Toads become established.
Drymomantis is a generic name described by Peters in 1882. This group of small frogs is so distinctive that I beieve that the
genus deserves formal recognition.
