M83 in Hydra

Tivoli/Namibia

M83 is a beautiful face-on spiral galaxy, about 15 mill. light-years away. Visible are huge starclusters of bright newborn stars ( blue spots along the spiral arms) and hydrogen emission nebulae ( pink spots).
