What a delightful and colourful metro station. Looks more like a church or museum. Fascinating and well captured Galina...especially with the passing train..and the people position.
best wishes Rob

I have to agree with much of what has been said before. This picture has life.

Brilliant use of layers to build expressive meaning. The spacious lobby, ornate stained glass and static figure in the foreground contrasts to the movement of the passengers and the even fast movement of the train in the background. This is somewhat similar to what I was trying to express athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/20799002 but you have added so more context. A remarkable image, Galina.

What a great picture. Interesting people, movement and interesting scene with the chequered floor and percieved distortions.

This brings a lot of memories: once upon a time I have used this station a lot. The picture really transmits a feeling of Moscow metro

Great collection of images giving a real taste of the place. I could look at this for ages, there is so much interest.

Brilliant perspective. Working with statics and movement at the same time, playing with the girl as she was a piece on a chess table, balancing the elements over an almost magical scenery... I really like this pic!...

Bravo! I love the framing of the train and its movement. I love the lighting and the stained glass window. The girl adds a completely wonderful human perspective on the scene. Voted.

A great image, Galina ! I visited the Moscow metro in 1977 (my goodness, so long ago..) and saw these beautiful stations that look more-like museums. They are so beautiful.
I like the composition of this shot that shows different levels : the girl for her way, the family holding their children, and the movement of the train. An excellent image with a perfect composition. Bravo !
Das vidania.

Great image, and I have to agree the movement in the backround in contrast to the stationary foreground really make this image. Great capture.

I love this one with that movement in the distance and the checkered floor.

This portion of Moscow's Metro looks unmistakably Russian.
There is a religious touch about the architecture.
The stained glass "window" is superb and makes a wonderful colour contrast.
You caught a perfect urban scene, and composed it with your "composer eye", the girl seemingly looking for directions on a map, leading the eye further under the arch, where all the bustle and movement is!
The blur of the passing train adds to the atmosphere.
The exposure is excellent. I particularly like the soft sheen on the ground under the arch, and the delicate blue tint reflected on the floor under the stained glass.
... on top of it, we get a holiday mood, the people look more like tourists than workers!
I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this gallery Galina!
