05 June Rose

I have a very straggly rose bush in my garden. But each year it produces these amazing flowers - the colour of egg yolk and slightly larger than the size of my fist. It flowers well into October too. It's so straggly it often has trouble holding up the flowers when there's more than a few at any one time. I've fed it, watered it, talked to it - but it still stays straggly - perhaps it doesn't like my conversation!

Some with a straggly exterior can create some of the most beaitiful blossoms.

Sounds like it wants to climb...a nice metal obelisk for support & this baby will be happy forever.

My old mum would say to cut it down to a few inches from the ground and see what happens next year. I've no idea if this is good advice or not!

i want an omelette...

it might simply be the way this particular rose bush grows?

It seems happy enough - it's certainly producing good flowers!
