New Zealand Weta. This creepy crawly is native to NZ. Very shy and its
not often you find one out in the open.

Good job with photo, Pauline. Looks a little like our Jerusalem Crickets, which are sometimes called Potato Bugs as they do eat potato tubers. They can be up to 2 inches. We used to get them at night in our house- Ugh!
