Linda Stock

Bradenton FL

I was walking the dogs today and saw them sniff something. To my horror I realized it was a snake and yanked them away. It did not move so I deduced it was dead. And short of moving it, it appears to have NO head. I ran home for my snake book and it looked just like a Copperhead snake, but online it says that would be very rare in this part of Florida. It could be a juvenile Cottonmouth or a Rat Snake.

Anothe rfine "eeew" photo. Makes me a little ill to think a dog might have been bitten. It's pretty though... I guess. ;-) Cindy

Nice shot, Linda. He is colorful - how nice of the dogs to find him for you (shudder).

Maybe there should be a theme gallery "spooky stuff", I am glad we don't have them here.

Well, it sure is colorful. I can say that for it, even though it is a snake. :)
