We quite often find evidence of insect herbivory on dog-strangling vine leaves, but have yet to actually see an insect working on the leaves, so we surmise that whatever causes this damage, is nocturnal. However, we certainly see insects on plants, but in most cases, they are using the plants to rest on or hide in. Of course, it would be great if the insects doing this work turned out to be detrimental to this very invasive species and were able to control the spread, but it doesn't look likely.
