Fourteen-spotted ladybeetle (Propylea quatuordecimpunctata)

Another non-native ladybeetle, this one also from Europe and relatively recent, if you consider the late 1960's recent. It was an accidental introduction, unlike that of the 7-spotted ladybeetle which was deliberately brought to NA to control aphids. This is a tiny beetle, about 3.5 to 5 mm in length. The larvae of this species consumes lots of aphids, so it does its part to help control a nuisance insect!
