Just go with the flow

For the last few days I've been staring out the window at around sunset. Each night, I would think, hey, maybe I should go grab a sunset somewhere. And then, for some reason, I decide not to go. Cold, snow, lazy, uninspired...I'm not sure what the biggest factor is.

The cold and snow most definitely are getting to me. I'm so ready for spring, as is the rest of the family.

Lazy? Well, maybe not. I did set up a pretty complex lighting arrangement yesterday, in a less than ideal space. So maybe that's not it.

Uninspired? Maybe that's a little closer to the truth. It used to be that I could find a great shot in anything, or at least in my mind. Now, I fill a memory card and keep two images. Two.

Well, tonight I decided to just go fight the snow, the cold, and a case of the lazies, to see if I could go find some inspiration. I set out to take a sunset image, and I end up with a stream. It was one of the first three images I took. I did keep one of the sunset shots I took as well, but I'm really not happy with it. I should have waited until the hour after sunset and gotten more of the magic light, but I was getting cold.

Some times you just gotta go with the flow.

Crap, I almost did it again. It's weight loss Monday. Time to report in, those of you, you know who you are. I GAINED .5lbs this week. Yup, gained. No regrets though. I ate a lot of good food and kept in under control for the most part. So a small 1/2lb gain doesn't bother me a bit. I'm back on track today and ready to drop another couple pounds this coming week.

So, lets hear it folks...how did YOU do?

I agree with you, I am not very inspired at the moment either. I see great possibilities on my way to work and driving home, with no camera. :(
This image looks like a winner to me, hopefully spring is coming soon.

In some ways, weight wise, I'm disappointed! Stayed even. Darn! Drat! But as I had gained a pound or two for the past couple of weeks, I'm happy. Just need to focus more on the treadmill and less on the snacks!

Didn't think you were going anywhere, didn't the flow at first. You need to find a faster moving creek! :-) Nice shot, like the sunset on the trees. I tried for a sunset but the sky gods around here didn't co-operate. :-(

Okay John. I'm going to begin your weight loss challenge. My goal is to loose 20lbs. I'm hoping to do it within two months. That should be doable right? I'll report in next Monday. I love the creek pic. Where was it taken? I'm with you, I'm soooo ready for Spring! p.s. I just finished a hand full of Fritos and I want more. Not gonna do it!
