Ed was nice enough to share his new secret sunset spot with me. Quite foolish of him actually. Now that I know where it is, I can easily bump him off and steal his thunder.

At this part of the river, the Wisconsin side of the bank actually faces southwest, so the sun sets up river a bit from here. The terrain across on the Iowa side has just enough detail to make the horizon interesting. There's some big stones at this end of the beach and sand everywhere else. There aren't any power lines visible to screw up the view either. It's exactly what I've been looking for around here, but haven't found.


I told Ed that if I were him, I'd be there every night at sunset to see what pops up, or actually, slides down in this case.
