Weddle Covered Bridge

One of my favorite covered bridges, Weddle bridge is another Howe design built in 1937 and renewed in a different location in 1990. The bridge is 120 feet long and now resides in Sankey Park in Sweethome, Oregon, where it crosses Ames Creek. The reconstruction was done by the Building Trades class from Sweethome High School, under the direction of class teacher, Ben Dahlenburg. The class also built a small scale covered bridge, the named after their teacher, the Dahlenburg Covered Bridge. Here is a link to a gallery showing that bridge - https://pbase.com/fotabug/020609dahlenburg
