Scattered throughout the park, along the 16-mile driving loop that traverses the siege lines, are monuments built by each state, commemmorating their soldiers who took part in the Vicksburg campaign. It was really interesting to see the Missouri monuments - some marked "Missouri-USA", others marked "Missouri-CSA"
