My entry for the macro challenge at DPC. Not an original theme I know, but I enjoyed doing it and learned a lot.
Used a small cardboard box with holes punched to accept the ends of the reed and the flower stalk.
Placed a dark green backdrop behind the flower.
Used a syringe to place the droplet, then set up the camera and focussed on the refracted image of the flower.
Next I placed one of my 17 firends (ladybird) on the reed and sat back to wait for the image.
I moved the flower in and out to get the optimum 'out of focus' effect.
