The Glacier

We spent the 2nd day traveling to the east side of the park, boarding a small ship to get a closer look of Glacier Grey. The 14km long road leading to Hosteria Lago Grey (the gathering point) was horrendous. Even though the weather was cooperating, it was very cold and many unprepared tourists stopped by the souvenir shop to get warmer clothes. It is difficult to put the size of the glacier in perspective. It is melting away not only in the summer months but year round. The cruise lasted three hours.
