Nor-Joe Import Company is an Italian Grocery store in old Metairie. My daughter is doing her Senior Project on Italian cooking and her mentor introduced her to the grocery where you can buy grocery items imported from Italy. My daughter's first words when she came back from the grocery was that it smelled like Italy. We went back to take pictures for her Senior Project portfolio. They are known for their muffalettos and were doing a steady stream of business during the lunch hour. Here is Ariel in her favorite part of the tiny store with all of the different oils.
