Bonfires Light the Way

Lutcher, LA

Have a very Merry Christmas!

Tonight after a nice visit with my husband's family, we walked to the levee in Lutcher to watch the lighting of the bonfires. This wonderful Christmas Eve tradition is one that has been occuring for many years. It was wonderful to see so many families lining the levee as well as the thousands of cars viewing from the road.

I can remember when we used to have our bonfire on the levee like it were yesterday.
I love the sparks from the fire, it looks as though the fire is dancing with the wind.
Merry Christmas Elaine!

Very nice! I was hoping the rain would not ruin the bonfire lighting!
