Sugar Cane Field

The sugar cane fields are finally being cut. The growers had to wait for the cane to dry out before they could harvest the crop. Now the race is on to harvest all of the surving sugar cane before the first freeze. The birds are enjoying the insects left behind after the fields are cut.

despite all the flooding, business moves on, and has to make the best of the circumstances... and feed the birds!

And it's right next to the processing plant. Nice contrast between the cut field and the lush growth waiting to be harvested. The birds do seem to love it.

Quite a bit of birds out there in the field. I like the contrast between the cut field and the one in the background still growing.

All things are effected by the weather. Not always for the good. Nice cloudless sky, Elaine.

The birds look busy. I was glad to see the harvest going on when I crossed the bridge the other day.
