Bird

It was visiting bird day in my yard today. I walked outside to visit my gardens and this cute little bird was enjoying the bird feeder. As I looked up about six of these woodpeckers? landed in the trees and on the telephone post. They didn't stay around very long, but were very pretty!

lovely collection of birds... I'd be there open mouthed as well!

Nice capture. I saw this earlier, went to find out what bird it was, got distracted and didn't come back. No more Equal for me.

I've been visited by several "noisy" birds lately...is it that they suddenly love our yards or is it that we pay much more attention to them now that we are constantly on the hunt for a PaD? Nice one, Elaine...especially with the open mouth.

What luck to have guests like these. And to have your camera at hand at the same time.

Nice shot, Elaine. I haven't seen many of these around.

It's a chickadee and they are cute and noisy. I like the way you caught him with his beak open singing, if you can call it a song. :) The other photo looks like a pileated woodpecker. I've always thought they look like prehistoric birds.
