Summer Salad

Yes, I know this is a somewhat strange picture but I am so excited one of my tomato plants has three baby tomatoes. I have not had a vegetable garden in about 13 years. Two weeks ago, I moved my butterfly garden and planted tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplants, parsley, shallots and basil in their spot.

Cool shot, I planted six Romas today and bell peppers for Arial.

Beautiful sight! Nothing better then a fresh tomato. Two more months before we will see any here. They are still calling for snow this weekend : (

It's amazing that these are actually growing outside. We won't be able to do this until the end of May.

Already ??? I haven't even got anything in the ground yet? Very jealous here.

Looking good Elaine. I have to clean up my garden too this weekend. Sigh.

Keep the bugs off it, too. Yummmm, Elaine! Save some for us.

You're going to have to come up with a great fresh garden recipe for us sometime this summer - assuming you're still padding, that is!

Yumm.. going to your house for Salad later!

Looking wonderful, Elaine. You'll have to cover them tomorrow night--temperatures in the low 40's-if the 40mph wind doesn't get them tonight. We're just coming in from a garden party---like a hurricane, a cold hurricane.

The best part is tomatoes stay still for photos and they taste great!

Doing well Elaine. Will be viewing this crop on pad soon no doubt.
