Sweet Gum Seed Pod

There is a beautiful Sweet Gum tree growing on the edge of my yard. The leaves are beautiful, but the seed pods sure hurt when you step on them.

I'm glad you found something nice to do with this - we have one of these trees in the side yard and the balls are everywhere - I have to admit I hate them. It does make a nice image, however, with plenty of texture.
