Ha! as soon as I saw the thumbnail, I said to myself.. that looks like the fountain in Switzerland :)
Beautifully done, love it. I have only seen pictures and never the actual fountain so now I feel as I have almost been there :)
I think this was area was built around the lake about 1895? for a big celebration.
My great grandfather was commissioned by the Swiss government about that same timeframe and he was an architect and a sculptor. He moved from France to Switzerland where my grandmother was born. But we never found out what it was that he was commissioned for.
I wonder if it was something to do with this lake :)
