A tugboat, pulling a tow of logs, is such a common sight in the waters off Vancouver
Island that people seldom stop to look. This tug is pulling the logs to a mill for
processing. The smaller image below shows a second tug assisting with the tow.
They may be going to a mill on Vancouver Island or across the straits to somewhere
on the mainland. During the winter months weather is a major factor when towing
these rafts, get caught in a bad storm and the whole raft could be lost.
