Probably my favorite image from this gallery. Nice rich green color and decent purple although the flower bud could stand to have a little more detail brought out. I really like the shapes: leaves radiating in a circle out from the base of the plant and the triangular white petals with a second set of smaller triangular whitish yellow petals. Focus could be a shade crisper on the petals although partly that is compression. I also like the angle, putting the center of the green leaves and the center of the petals in roughly the respective two thirds spots of the composition. I think that came out better than would have a head on shot of the petals or a shot of it along the vertical stemline. Although a head on shot with the petals in the foreground and the radiating leaves in the background with sufficiently depth of field would have been pretty interesting as well.
