Hippodrome

Located in front of the Blue Mosque, it was the site of racing long ago (think of the chariot race in "Ben Hur"). We were there during Ramadan, the Muslem holy month. In the Hippodrome, food vendors set up shop and did a brisk business at sundown when they could break their day-long fast and eat.
