We spent 3 days in Athens prior to cruising to Istanbul with stops in Mykonos,Santorini, Rhodes, Bodrum and Kusadasi. We went at the invitation of John and Linda Drennan who were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. We were joined by Ron and Diane Pierce, friends from Florida. We went on the Wind Star, a sail boat that moved mostly by engine power although the sails were up most of the time. Small, it held 150 passengers and 98 crew, mostly men from the Phillipines and Indonesia. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the cruise. It beat all of our large cruises hands down!
