A few years ago, we were drinking wine in the gazebo and had one of those great ideas that often surface after lots of wine. I said I would like to do something special for my 70th birthday. Late last fall it all gelled and we decided to visit Italy. We quickly outlined the trip; Venice first for Lil and me, then Positano/Capri with girls and spouses followed by a week in a villa outside Citta della Pieve, near Chiusi, just on the Tuscany/Umbria border. We would end the trip in Rome.
