We got into Rome in the afternoon after dropping the car at the airport. We first went to Trevi fountain. It was a perfect Saturday, warm and sunny, so it was packed there. After throwing coins, we trekked to the Spanish Steps where it was also very crowded. We sat in a shady part and enjoyed a bottle of wine we had brought from the villa. How cool is that? Next, through the crowd to Piaxxa Navona where we enjoyed a bottle of prosecco. Now we are super cool!! Dinner at Roscioli was an amazing feast. Megan and Matt went home on Sunday but Erin, Mike, Lil and I went to St. Peter in Chain and saw "Moses" Then a tour of the Coliseum was followed by a visit to one of my favorite churches, St. John Laterno. A post-lunch cab to St. Peter's almost finished our touring but not before another bottle of prosecco in Piazza Navona. A final stop at the Pantheon ended our trip.
