The next valley west from Death Valley is in some ways just as impressive, if not quite below sea level. There is a mud flat that occupies the floor of the valley, with dunes and other interesting features scattered around. The west side of the Panamint Valley is walled in by the Argus range, and all lie within the National Park boundary. This shot looks east back toward the Panamint Range and CA 190 back to Death Valley.
