After watching the sunrise at Zabriskie Point, I headed over to Badwater, the lowest spot in in the Western Hemisphere (at 282' below sea level), and took some shots of the small salt-water pool there, along with the expansive salt flats in the area. Next stop was Mosaic Canyon, to get a view of some canyon narrows that have been worn smooth by repeated flash flooding. Next was a drive west, leaving Death Valley, through Panamint Valley, to Santa Rosa Flat, where there are Joshua Trees. Finally, sunset was at Aguereberry Point in the Panamint Range, on the west side of Death Valley. As the sun set, I left the valley via Daylight Pass, and headed back to Las Vegas.
