The Vasa was the fatally-flawed flagship of the Swedish Navy, that sunk on its maiden voyage in calm water in 1628. Despite lying at the bottom of Stockholm Harbor until the 1970s, it's in astonishing shape. Once it was raised a museum was built around it.
