An injured vulture who was noticed by someone a little over a week ago near the busy street leading into our community. The residents took great interest in "only a vulture" as it was referred to in the first post on the community's website (followed by several dozen daily follow up posts reporting on Only's well being). "Only a vulture" lead to the name "Only". "Only" was very successful at avoiding all attempts to capture him/her to be taken to a wildlife refuge - until just a short while after this picture was taken. Captured on "film" and then in a cage. My deciding to find "Only" for a photo op more than a week after his arrival and only hours before his capture was fortunate - Timing is everything. Locating him along the woods on a 1/2 mile stretch of road was hit or miss when I went out.
