Coming to you from Elko, NV after five days at Yellowstone & Grand Tetons national parks with no communication of any sort. Five days of PADs to upload - this is a sample. Hard to choose with such glorious subject matter.
This is taken at a place called Schwabachers Landing in the Tetons. Access via a gravel washboard road superimposed with potholes. This is one of only a few images that survived a camera memory card malfunction that morning - about 75 are missing and my copy of Photo Rescue is 2500 miles away.
Look at this one from the previous day - a photo by Ed containing a person. I came back a second day to do today's PAD hoping for still water (reflections) and clouds (more interesting sky) - and got my wish. As I told the painter the previous cloudless day (with wind stirred water), in some ways photography is more difficult than painting - she could do reflections and sky regardless of reality & I could not. http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/86220333
