A different pond, a different foreground - same old sun. I liked the PAD from 9/9 but needed a change of scenery.
Decided to try a sunrise at another pond. Wasn't sure what I'd find there for a foreground and was pleasantly surprised - both cattails and tickseed sunflowers.
Stopped down to f/22 to get the sunburst; reverse grad ND filter to hold back the most extreme brightness; and, of course, the ever present tripod. I use a right angle finder for shots like this where the tripod is only about two feet off the ground. It's easier to bend at the waist and look down through the right angle finder than to kneel down (ouch) to look through the view finder and get back up. At 70 all of the parts don't work as they once did.
