A two-PAD day.
Earlier today I posted a monarch caterpillar image taken this morning (click *next* for the earlier PAD). Later, 45 miles north on Skyline Drive (at Dicky Ridge) there were a few monarch butterflies.

(Thanks to my cousin for the info that showed that a monarch can get from the caterpillar to butterfly stage in about 2-3 weeks).
