10/17/06 - Autumn on Skyline Drive

A double exposure - one in focus & one totally out of focus (big time blur).
One of the few times today that you could see more than 50 yards. Also, the rain & driving wind had subsided somewhat. I can handle fog - love it in fact. I can handle wind or rain - but not wind AND rain when the wind is driving the rain sideways since it's impossible to keep the lens dry. The weather gave me, the camera, and several lens/filter combinations a good workout - but I chose the day because of the rain forecast (but accuweather said winds SE 7-8 mph; bull! more like 30-40). Had a great day in spite of it.

Nikon D70
0.62s f/11.0 at 18.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Howard, This is two separate images combined in a program called Picture Window Pro - a program witten by a photographer for photographers. Performs the photo essential functions of Photoshop without the bloat or cost.

The specific PWP transformation I used is designed to emulate slide sandwhichs (which this actually is - more so than a multiple exposure. Slide sandwich = two exposures combined outside of the camera - which this is. Multiple exposure = multiple images combined in-camera by exposing the same frame multiple times. Sorry for the poor use of terms. In either case - no, the D70 doesn't do this in camera; need something in the D2xx line).

What do you mean "double exposure"? You mean two brought together in Photoshop? Can the D70 do a double by itself? Anyway, a very nice image. I've been meaning to get to Skyline Drive this Fall, but ..... I'm such a lazy guy.
