Looking for a black & white competition entry. This might be OK for those who like stark abstract type images. Someone commmented that the foreground branch was a distraction. One person's distraction is another's point of interest. Had this been presented to last month's judge, a photojournalist, he would have said "Where's the point of interest?" - or "Too abstract; must be art; out!". He used both reasons multiple times - and this month we get another photojournalist as a judge. She has a BFA undergrad degree; maybe her view of acceptable subjects is a bit broader than the last judge's.
Making this shot gave the camera a good "stress test". A 25-30 mile per hour wind raised a fine curtain of dust up several feet above the dune. The camera, tripod and my clothes were coated.
