10/20/04 - Misty/Rainy Fall Colors

From today's edition of the weekly trip to Shenandoah National Park. The rest of today's catch is at http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/snp

Another try at Hog Camp Branch above Dark Hollow Falls (don't you just love these names?). I think I'm starting to get the hang of running water and the circular polarizer. Two of three tripod legs in the drink. Gotta' order some LLBean mid-calf boots so that I can do this right.

Steady drizzle and heavy mist/fog (what's the difference) all day. Good practice keeping gear dry. Great lighting for bring out the colors. Kept my 18-70 at the wide end all day and also kept a circular polarizer on all day.

Nikon D70
1s f/25.0 at 27.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Beautiful colors and capture of the water's flow.
