Here come the cherry blossoms right on time for the Washington DC cherry blossom festival. These are not in DC but in a neighbor's yard about 25 miles west of DC. Actually there are lots of different type of ornamental cherry blossom trees. The earliest ones where I live started blooming at the beginning of March and are just about done now. The varying types provide beauty for well over a month (barring high winds & late snows).

I tried to get real close with a very shallow DOF macro lens in order to soften everything except the blossom on the right.
